West Indies Women’s Squad Unveiled for India Multi-Format Series 2024
- JOHN'S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced the squad for the West Indies Senior Women's tour of India in December 2024.
- The ODI series follows, commencing on December 22 at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium.
- Currently, the West Indies Women rank 6th in both T20Is and ODIs.
CWI Announces Women’s Squad for Multi-Format Series in India
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced the squad for the West Indies Senior Women’s tour of India in December 2024. The tour will include three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals, offering the team a chance to compete against a top cricket nation.
The T20I series starts on December 15 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. The ODI series follows, commencing on December 22 at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium. The ODI matches are important for the ICC Women’s Championship points.
Currently, the West Indies Women rank 6th in both T20Is and ODIs. They will face 3rd-ranked India. Their last series in India was in 2016, where the West Indies won the T20I series 3-0, but India won the ODI series by the same margin. The West Indies Women recently reached the semifinals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Dubai.
Captain and Squad:
Captain Hayley Matthews continues her strong form from the Women’s Big Bash League and will lead the team. Stafanie Taylor, recovering from injury, will not be part of this tour.

Coach’s Statement:
Head Coach Shane Deitz expressed satisfaction with the chance to play against strong opponents and emphasized the team’s goal to build on their recent performances. He wants to raise the profile of players in franchise cricket.
The West Indies Women will start their tour with a 10-day acclimatization camp in India.
