Cody Gakpo’s missed foot is confusing soccer fans.

Liverpool won 4-1 over Luton Town in the 26th round of the 2023-24 Premier League (PL) held at Anfield in Liverpool, England at 4:30 a.m. on the 22nd (Korean time). With the win on this day, Liverpool earned 60 points, widening the gap with second-place Arsenal to 4 points.

Early in the first half, we were hit with an unexpected blow. In the 12th minute of the first half, Tahith Chong attempted a shot inside the penalty box, which goalkeeper Quivin Kelleher hit. However, the ball did not go far and Chiedoji Ogbene, who was rushing, headed it in and scored the first goal. Afterwards, Liverpool continued to attack to balance the game, but the first half ended without any additional goals.

Liverpool got off to a good start by scoring an equalizer early in the second half. In the 11th minute of the second half, Virgil van Dijk hit the cross from Alexis Mac Allister during a corner kick and hit the net. Cody Gakpo, who immediately took the opportunity, scored a comeback goal and Liverpool completely took control.

Liverpool’s offensive continued. In the 25th minute of the second half, Diaz broke through the defense with his individual ability and scored the key goal. Then, in the 44th minute of the second half, Harvey Elliott scored and the game ended with Liverpool winning 4-1.

A perfect comeback victory. Regardless of the outcome of the game, a scene was created that embarrassed all the fans who watched the game, making it a hot topic. Gakpo’s misfire led to Amari Bell’s negative(?) direction. Britain’s ‘The Sun’ said, “Gakpo kicked the wrong ball and confused the fans. Bell was the first to defend Diaz’s pass and nudge Gakpo. But he had already decided to take the shot, and his wild swing landed near Bell’s private parts. “He kicked the ball wrong,” one fan joked.
