The activated lockdown mode will also change how a user’s account appears too others. It will limit, such as, who can add the user to groups or completely block people not in their contacts from viewing the user’s profile picture or personal facts.
Widespread access
According to Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, the feature will begin rolling out widely in the coming weeks. The company did not specify the timeframe or in which countries the offer will be available. Once fully implemented, anyone will be able to enable the function.However, the company hopes that most users will never have to activate such settings.
