A Wednesday rainout provided ⁣both teams a‍ day of rest before Thursday’s scheduled doubleheader.

Contreras, a former All-Star catcher, made a memorable play in Tuesday’s 12-2 victory over the White Sox. In the fifth inning, he stole ⁢home, sliding in safely ahead of the tag from Chicago rookie catcher Edgar Quero. The play was confirmed after ⁤a replay review.
