‘Why so serious?’; Criticism of Sabyasachi’s new advertisement

Sabysachi Mukherjee is a favorite designer of Bollywood celebrities. From Bollywood actresses Anushka Sharma to Deepika Padukone, Sabyasachi shone on their wedding day in their designs.

Apart from clothes, Sabyasachi also offers a wide range of jewelery in designing and making. Sabyasachi’s recent advertisement for Mangalsutra has drawn a lot of criticism. Criticism was leveled at the dress code of models wearing jewelry. The models appeared half-naked in the ad. The ads were then removed from social media following strong criticism that the ad should be withdrawn.

Now another Sabyasachi ad is getting criticism. The current problem is that the models starring in the ad are not laughing. This ad is from Sabyasachi’s latest jewelery collection. Sabyasachi shared on social media an advertisement for uncut-brilliant cut diamond, opal, pearl, emerald and aquamarine jewelery in 22 carat gold.

Three models are featured in the ad. People came up with the critique at the bottom of the post asking why the models are so serious. Comments were made as to whether this was the third installment of the Conjuring film and one of the best funeral collections. Meanwhile, a photo of these models was edited by someone and posted on Twitter in the form of a laugh.
