Wicked is inspired by Baum’s original story. While Baum did not write Wicked, the musical and the upcoming 2024 movie draw from his work. Manlius Cinema is the closest theater to Chittenango.
Charlie Chase, who attended a showing, expressed excitement. He appreciates learning about the local stories linked to Wicked.
The theater offers exclusive content, including footage from the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked. This will play at every showing until December 8.

To enhance the experience, Manlius Cinema plans a special event. On December 6, there will be a costume contest and sing-along. Walter said they are collaborating with local businesses to create a welcoming atmosphere.
