Will Manchester City repeat its previous achievement against Real Madrid today?

The first meeting will bring together defending champion Manchester City with the team with the most championship titles, Real Madrid, at the latter’s stadium, the Santiago Bernabeu, in the Spanish capital.

The match will be somewhat retaliatory, as Manchester City had defeated its guest, Real Madrid, in the semi-finals last season, with four goals to none, last May.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola said that he does not expect a repeat of his crushing victory over Real Madrid last season when they meet in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday.

He added that coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team will present a different challenge as it prepares for the first leg on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

“It’s difficult,” Guardiola told reporters. “Because beating Real Madrid twice in the same way is impossible… Because they learn… I expect different playing styles in one match. They have the ability to press high and play aggressively. Real Madrid is very dangerous… Everyone knows their strength.” And their rapid transformation during play.

He continued, saying, “At the same time, you cannot come here just to control the match. You have to try to get them, throw a quick punch at them and force them to feel that we can score at any time. We feel very strong and confident.”

The second match will bring together the English team, Arsenal, with the German team, Bayern Munich, at the Emirates Stadium in the British capital, London

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Spain’s Atletico Madrid will host Borussia Dortmund, while Barcelona will host France’s Paris Saint-Germain.
