Several British tennis players are one step closer to Wimbledon after victories in the qualifying rounds. Paul Jubb, the British No.10, delivered a strong performance, overcoming 19th seed Thiago Agustin Tirante 6-3, 6-2. Jubb capitalized on five service breaks as he aims for his fifth appearance at SW19 and his first main draw victory.
Ryan Peniston, the British No. 11, also advanced with a decisive 6-3, 6-1 win against Facundo Bagnis of Argentina.Peniston is set to face Martin Landaluce of Spain in the next round. Oliver Bonding secured another win for the home nation, defeating Viktor Durasovic of Norway 7-5, 2-6, 6-4.
