Windows 11 is officially launched. Win 10 users can upgrade for free today|Hong Kong 01|Instant International

Microsoft officially released the latest version of Windows 11 in the Windows series on October 5. This is a new operating system launched by Microsoft again six years after the release of Windows 10. All users who meet the hardware requirements can now choose to upgrade for free.

A feature of Windows 11 is to move the “Start” key, which has been placed on the lower left since Windows 95, to the middle. And pressing the task bar also expands from the middle, which is believed to be the biggest difference that all Win 11 users will find.

Panos Panay, Microsoft’s chief product officer, said that the new Windows aims to give users a “clean, fresh and simple” operating experience. The new system will not be too far from what people are familiar with in the past. On the development interface, Panay said that it was specially designed by the team after observing how users use computers. Windows 11 will be the “beginning of a new era.”

In addition to the interface, Win 11 has more feature updates, including software that can run Android phones directly through Amazon; the Microsoft Store has also been redesigned, and third-party applications are allowed to be sold directly on the market, further making Windows Closer to the concept of getting apps on mobile phones.

In terms of hardware applications, Win 11 allows the graphics card to read data on the SSD in a straight line, speeding up the reading and processing time of the game, and making the game smoother. But this requires a graphics card that supports Direct Storage to do it. This also means that to enjoy all the features of Win 11, you need to update your computer hardware.

Not all current Win 10 users can upgrade to Win 11. One of the minimum requirements for installing Win 11 is that the user’s hardware has a chipset that supports the “Trusted Platform Module” TPM 2.0.

When Win 10 was launched, Microsoft had stated that this would be the last Windows version, although this promise was broken after 6 years. All Win 10 users who meet the hardware requirements can choose to upgrade for free from now on. With the introduction of the new system, Win 10 will be retired in 2025.
