Windows 11 paint app looks new | Gizmodo Japan

Free paint softwareThe seat as “doesn’t change!”

Will be released later this yearWindows 11ThenRenewed “Paint” and “Photo” appsSeems to be done. Unsplash (via Windows Latest) has new images for both apps.

In Windows 11, the paint app has also been redesigned to match the OS. The old ribbon menu has disappeared and a “Fluent Design” header has been replaced. The toolbar has been simplified with a undo / redo button next to the file or view button. The overall design is rounded and also has WinUI controls. However, there seems to be no functional addition.

It seems that the photo app has a new editing function and a new interface and mobile-like editing function. In addition to paint and photo, Windows apps such as “Clock”, “Office”, and “Notepad” will be targeted for such app renewal.

For paint enthusiasts, the app will continue to exist in Widnows 11. In 2017, Microsoft made Paint a deprecated feature, which means they aren’t actively developing the app. I was worried that this would remove the app in the future.

On the other hand, the fact that Paint was adopted alongside Clippy and Solitaire in the background of Teams, a video chat app, shows the persistent popularity of the app.

If you feel like it, you can draw a horror manga-style game graphic like Junji Ito. It seems that the light will not go out for a while.
