On Tuesday, France’s Nice Court sentenced former Monaco star Wissam Ben Yedder to two years in prison for drunken sexual assault.
French network “RMC” Sport said the Nice court found Ibn Yedder guilty and sentenced him to two years in prison with a suspended sentence.
The judicial punishment also includes forcing the 34-year-old former French international striker to pay financial compensation of 6,500 euros to provide healthcare to his victim for moral damage, while prosecutors at the beginning of the case demanded a prison sentence of two years and 6 months, including a probationary period of 18 months.
In another case, Ibn Yeddar (of Tunisian origin) was fined five thousand euros and had his driving license suspended for six months for disobeying a police order to stop his car.
Wissam Ben Yedder was previously considered one of the most important strikers in French football, but things with him deteriorated to such an extent that his club Monaco decided to terminate his contract last summer.
