Chancellor Olaf Scholz opens the International Motor Show in Munich. After his jogging accident, he will wear an eye patch.
The automotive industry hopes that the Chancellor’s speech will give a clear positioning on the much-discussed industrial electricity price, which would relieve them in global competition.
Despite the sports injury, the chancellor will appear at the fair. Scholz fell while jogging at the weekend. On Monday he appeared in public for the first time with an eye patch.
Protests by climate activists are expected on the fringes of the IAA. For days, the “last generation” has been paralyzing traffic in the Bavarian capital. They may also be planning a disruptive action on the fringes of the chancellor’s speech.
