The 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair 2024 kicked off today, Thursday, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, amid a large turnout in the first hours of opening its doors to the public.
Where is the 2024 Book Fair?
The 55th session of the 2024 Book Fair will be held at the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions and Conferences, in the Fifth Settlement, from January 25, 2024 to February 6, 2024, under the slogan “We create knowledge, we preserve the word.” The Kingdom of Norway will be the guest of honor, and the advisory committee will be chosen. Supreme for Cairo International Book FairThe Egyptologist, Dr. Salim Hassan, was chosen to be the character of the exhibition, and the pioneer of children’s literature, Yacoub Al-Sharouni, to be the character of the children’s exhibition.
When does the 2024 Book Fair open?
The Cairo International Book Fair 2024 will receive the public daily during the period from today, January 25, 2024, until next February 6, from 10 am to 8 pm, except for Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 9 pm.

With regard to facilitating transportation for the public visiting the 2024 Book Fair, the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, represented by the Public Transport Authority, has allocated 11 bus lines to and from the exhibition headquarters, departing from various areas of Cairo, and operated by 115 cars with an average travel time of 20 minutes. This is to facilitate visitors.
