The Criminal Investigation Police at the General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence managed to arrest a 21-year-old person who deliberately set fire to a vehicle while it was parked near its owner’s house in a residential neighborhood, within less than an hour of receiving the report.
The administration stated that immediately upon receiving a report of the incident, the competent security services carried out inspection procedures, raised evidence, and initiated search and investigation operations, which resulted in the identification and arrest of the aforementioned, as preliminary information indicated that behind the incident were personal disputes with the owner of the vehicle.
The General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence indicated that all prescribed legal measures have been taken, in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
