(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Hong-seok Ahn = ‘European’ Jo So-hyeon (Tottenham) and Lee Young-joo (Madrid CFF) are scrambled for the 2022 East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship (East Asian Cup) to be held in Japan next month.

The Korea Football Association announced on the 30th the list of 24 women’s national teams to participate in the East Asian Cup.

Since the East Asian Cup is not held during the match A period set by FIFA, players from overseas can participate only with the club’s permission.

Two of the players who participated in the recent Canadian away evaluation match were dropped and three new players were selected.

Lee Geum-min (Brighton) was removed from the team because he did not get permission to be hired, and Lee Jung-min (Director) was excluded from the list due to his team’s circumstances.

Instead, Lee Min-ah (Hyundai Steel), who recovered from an injury, returned, and Kim Yun-ji (Suwon FC) and 21-year-old Ko Min-jung (Changnyeong WFC) were added to the list.

Initially, the number of entries for this tournament was 23, but the number has been increased to 26.

Accordingly, the Football Association is planning to announce two additional players who will go to Japan together.
