I said I didn’t follow the quarantine rules… I fell and broke my arm

Here is a video that has been spreading recently on Chinese video platforms such as Douyin and Twitter.

Quarantine agents surround a man, place his hand on the wall, spread his legs, and search his body.

Then, suddenly, he trips the man’s leg and bends his arm to subdue him.

Quarantine agents sometimes lean down on men’s bodies with their knees.

The man appeals, “I have to take that medicine,” but in vain.

Local media reported that the incident happened on the 1st in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia.

This happened when Peng Mo, a male victim who was classified as a close contact of a person infected with Corona 19 and was quarantined in a hotel, escaped through the back door of the hotel and quarantine agents subdued him.

Peng was hospitalized for a chronic illness and was recently discharged.

The local quarantine authorities said, “The perpetrators are the police who were in charge of the quarantine hotel.”

“The perpetrators have apologized to Mr. Peng for the violence, and those involved will be severely punished according to the law,” he said.

A series of violent quarantine debates

Not long ago, a ‘prevention of violence’ was held in Haizhu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.

On the 17th, it was controversial that two women were tied up and kneeling in the street for not complying with quarantine regulations.

It is known that they tried to get out of the Corona 19 control checkpoint to get food delivered.

Quarantine agents forcibly stopped them, saying they were not wearing masks and trying to escape the controlled area.

In response to the debate about the prevention of violence, Chinese netizens criticize, “Violence is unacceptable for any reason, and you should not abuse your power in the name of quarantine.”
