Wrestling Federation of India elections next month. The election will be held on 4 July. The decision is taken by the Indian Olympic Association. The International Olympic Association had given instructions to hold elections within 45 days following the wrestling star’s strike. The Center has assured the wrestlers that no member of Brij Bhushan’s family or associates will compete. The wrestlers had handed over evidence to the police against the former president of the wrestling federation, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Police sources said four of the six female players who have made sexual allegations have given evidence to support their claims. The strike was postponed until June 15 after the government asked for time to submit the charge sheet. The police have moved to file a charge sheet within that period.

Meanwhile, witness Malik had said that Brij Bhushan changed his statement against Sharan Singh due to extreme pressure. In an interview to NDTV, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia said they were under intense pressure to compromise in the case.

Brij Bhushan has people to threaten the wrestlers who raised their grievances and went on strike. The girl succumbed to the pressure and changed her statement against Brij Bhushan. The wrestlers also said that the girl’s father is going through a lot of stress.

Brij Bhushan has the power and influence to sabotage the investigation and threaten the complainants. They have been demanding his arrest and imprisonment since day one. Witness Malik also said that there will be no impartial investigation without arresting Brij Bhushan. The wrestlers also said that the Maha Panchayat has decided to plan strike programs in the future as the deadline for the inquiry ends on June 15.
