Wu-Tang‍ Clan’s Action RPG “Rise ‍of the Deceiver”⁢ Revealed

Brass Lion Entertainment debuted its⁢ first ‍game, Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver, at Summer Game Fest 2025. Players ​will join forces with Wu-Tang Clan members to defend‍ Shaolin from the Deceiver’s invading forces. The⁢ action RPG‌ features anime-style combat and an afro-surrealist visual‌ style.

The game supports both solo ‌play and online co-op for up to⁣ three ​players.Gamers can customize thier fighting styles and character fashion. The Wu-Tang⁢ Clan sought a studio⁤ to create a game that⁣ would complement ​Ghostface Killah⁤ and RZA’s upcoming supernatural thriller, Angel of ⁢Dust, according to The Washington Post. They ⁢discovered that Brass Lion’s director of music ‍and ⁣culture ⁤was⁢ Just Blaze.

Brass Lion’s co-founder ⁢and CEO, Bryna Dabby Smith, said the Wu-Tang Clan embraced the company’s⁣ concepts for the game.​ Smith ⁢told The Post ​that the script, while in the ​horror genre, translated well to an interactive format. Brass Lion was co-founded by Manveer Heir, who ‍previously worked on Wolfenstein and Mass Effect 3; Rashad Redic, known for Fallout 3 and The Elder scrolls V: Skyrim; ⁣and smith, whose credits include The Bourne Conspiracy ⁢and ‍ Sleeping Dogs. Heir has stated the ⁣studio’s commitment to authentic, underrepresented stories related to race, age, religion and sexuality.

Wu-Tang: Rise of​ the ⁤Deceiver will include classic Wu-Tang tracks alongside new material ⁤curated by Just Blaze.A⁣ release date has not yet​ been announced. A teaser is available, ‍and screenshots can be viewed ​on ​the⁣ game’s official ​Steam​ page.
