Chaos Reigns: Rollins Retains Amidst a Post-Match Brawl Featuring Punk, Knight, Breakker, Reed, and reigns
Seth Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Championship in a chaotic main event against Bron Breakker, though the victory came by disqualification thanks to the unexpected interference of CM Punk. The match itself was a brutal, back-and-forth war that left both Rollins and Knight battered and bruised.
The animosity was immediate, with knight attacking Rollins before the bell even rang, continuing the assault in the corner. Rollins fired back, initiating a fierce exchange of punches and stomps. The match spilled outside the ring early, with Knight demonstrating his awareness of Rollins’ attempts to use Paul Heyman as a shield. A brutal sequence saw Knight slam Rollins into the announce desk, only for Rollins to retaliate with a relentless assault, culminating in a double stomp while Knight was hung up on the barricade.
Following the commercial break, the intensity didn’t let up. Rollins stalked Knight, delivering chops and attempting a Pedigree, which Knight skillfully reversed into a backdrop. The action continued to build, with both men trading blows in the center of the ring. Knight showcased his power with clotheslines and a leg sweep, followed by a neckbreaker, but Rollins consistently fought back, countering Knight’s attempts at the BFT (Bron Breaker Finish) with near falls and a jawbreaker.
The match reached a fever pitch with a flurry of counters and near falls. Knight connected with a flying elbow, but Rollins evaded a BFT, sending Knight crashing into the announce desk. The situation escalated as Rollins repeatedly slammed Knight into the ring post and strategically broke the ten count by exiting the ring, eventually ripping up the ring padding to expose the concrete floor. Just as Rollins prepared to deliver a devastating curb stomp on the exposed concrete, CM punk stormed the ring, attacking Rollins and causing the disqualification.
