Former WWE producer⁢ D-Ray Gomez, whose real name is Drew Miller, filed a lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in January 2024 alleging wrongful termination ⁤and discrimination. the suit claims Gomez was fired after raising concerns about unsafe working conditions ‌and discriminatory practices⁣ within the ‌company. ⁤

Allegations of Unsafe Working Conditions

Gomez⁢ alleges that WWE prioritized speed and ​cost-cutting measures over the safety of its performers. He specifically cites instances where wrestlers⁤ were pressured to ​perform despite injuries,and ⁢safety protocols were disregarded. He claims he voiced these concerns to ‌superiors,‌ leading to a hostile work environment and ultimately his termination.

Discrimination Claims

The company⁢ filed a‌ motion to​ dismiss the lawsuit in ⁢February 2024, arguing that Gomez’s claims‌ lacked sufficient⁢ evidence. As of January ⁢24, 2026,⁣ the ⁢case is still ongoing in the United States District ⁣Court for the southern District ‌of New ⁣York.

In a statement provided to Ringside News, a WWE spokesperson said, “WWE is confident that the ​court will find in⁤ its favor and dismiss this baseless⁤ lawsuit.” The next court date is scheduled for march 15, 2026, according to CourtListener (Case 1:24-cv-00448-JMF).
