[ニューヨーク 28日 ロイター] – In response to the spread of false sexual images of the popular American singer Taylor Swift on social networking sites (SNS), X (formerly Twitter) has taken steps to disable searches for Swift’s name. A company executive made the announcement on the 28th.
Joe Benarrozzi, X’s business operations manager, said that although this was a temporary measure, “safety is our priority in this matter, and we have taken these steps very carefully.”
The New York Times reported that one fake image of Swift posted on X had been viewed 47 million times before the account was suspended.
On the issue, the White House Press Secretary, Jean-Pierre, said on the 26th that the fake images are “scary” and that social media companies have a responsibility to prevent the spread of misinformation. He also said that enforcement against fake images that may have been created by artificial intelligence (AI) was lax.
