Xbox releases first ever ‘Digital Transparency Report’

According to the Digital Transparency Report, during the investigation period, Xbox implemented more than 4.33 million proactive actions against fake accounts. This is an increase of 9 times compared to the same period last year. Fake accounts are usually automated or bot-generated accounts, and Xbox takes proactive precautions to ensure that these fake accounts do not disrupt users’ gaming experience through negative content.

In addition, the report emphasized the important role of joint monitoring and reporting by the player community to increase digital transparency. Active player reporting plays a critical role in improving proactive security measures, investing in scanning and filtering technology, and improving the quality of education for the Xbox Ambassador community. During the study period, Xbox users submitted approximately 33 million reports of security concerns, with the majority of reports being concerns about communication (46%) and behavior (43%). Xbox operates a 24/365 content management team to ensure that activities and content within the platform conform to Xbox community standards.

The report also touches on Xbox’s efforts to give individual players the power to choose the gaming environment they want.
