Yan Mingxi (Gigi) will hold the “Yan Mingxi Gi-FORCE Concert” again at Jiuzhan on April 13th and 14th. Tickets for her solo concert will be officially on sale tomorrow (February 26th). The new work “The Translucent”, composed by ZT, lyrics by Jiang Ningle, arranged by Perry Lau, and supervised by Xie Guowei, is a story of unrequited love that is ignored by the other party, just like a living transparent substance. To express the loneliness of this unrequited love, director Roydon used ballet throughout the MV. Two professional ballet dancers played the white swan, while Gigi played the ignored black swan.
“After I read the lyrics, I felt very lonely. Even if you have attractions, the people you love don’t know how to appreciate you. This feeling of loneliness is something that everyone has experienced during the epidemic. Yes, so I want to incorporate this idea into the MV screen, hoping that the effect can match your song.” MV director Roydon said.

Ballet teacher praises Gigi’s potential
Because of the inclusion of ballet elements, the director arranged for a teacher to teach Gigi dance moves on the spot. Although she had never been exposed to ballet, Gigi danced well and was praised by the teacher for her potential, who encouraged her to learn ballet.
Gigi said: “Actually, the setting of black and white swans is to send out a message. No matter how classic and elegant the white swans are, the black swans do not need to change themselves to become the white swans, because you have your own unique temperament. She further explained, “So in the MV, the two ballet dancers dance traditional ballet, and my dance is a little different. As for the recording of “The Translucent”, Gigi revealed that she used another voice to perform the performance. She said, “After recording it that day, I listened to it and played it myself.
