Rodón struggled with his command of the zone all night, hitting wild shots and often finding himself behind in the count. But he threw some big pitches to get out of trouble, keeping the Yankees at arm’s length.

However, it was in vain, as the offense continues with a general malaise from which it has not been able to escape.
