Truth Under Fire: Yogi Adityanath Defends Judge Facing Impeachment

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on ⁣the ⁣Opposition Saturday, accusing them of attempting to silence those who speak the truth. His remarks came in‍ response to impeachment notices filed against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and⁣ allahabad High Court Justice⁤ Shekhar Kumar Yadav.

Speaking at the ⁤World Hindu economic Forum⁤ 2024, Adityanath alleged that⁢ the Opposition resorts ⁣to impeachment threats⁣ against anyone⁣ who dares to voice opinions they disagree with.

“Whoever speaks the truth, these people will ‍pressurize him with impeachment (motions),‍ and still they talk ‍about the Constitution. Look at their double standards,” Adityanath declared.

The⁢ Chief Minister specifically⁢ highlighted Justice Yadav’s call for a Uniform Civil Code, a ⁢stance that has ⁢drawn ⁣ire from some quarters.”An Allahabad⁣ High Court judge said there should⁢ be a Uniform ‍Civil Code, and‍ the world over the feelings of ‍the majority ⁣community are respected,” Adityanath ⁤stated. “What was a person’s crime if he voices these opinions? Shouldn’t there be a Uniform Civil Code in the country?”

adityanath accused the Congress of hypocrisy, alleging they⁢ seek to “strangulate the Constitution and manage the system of the country.”

he defended Vice president ⁤Dhankhar, stating that he is simply fulfilling his ⁣duties as the presiding ⁤officer of the Rajya Sabha.

“The Opposition is worried as to how a farmer’s son has reached this position,” Adityanath said, suggesting that Dhankhar’s humble origins‍ are a source of discomfort‍ for his political opponents.

The Chief Minister went on to criticize those who, he claims, seek to suppress India’s cultural heritage.

“Those who spurn India’s legacy should be exposed,” Adityanath asserted, alleging that⁣ the Opposition denies the existence of Lord Ram.

He contrasted Prime Minister modi’s respect for India’s traditions with ⁣what he described⁢ as the destructive ⁣actions of past rulers.

“You have PM Modi showering flowers ⁢on ⁣workers who built the Ram Temple⁣ in⁤ Ayodhya⁤ for⁤ their hard work, and there will also be rulers who chopped the hands of workers who built the Taj Mahal,” Adityanath said.

Adityanath concluded by emphasizing the importance of remembering India’s⁣ past while striving for economic progress. ⁣He ‍highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth, stating that the ⁤state is on track to become a trillion-dollar economy.

NewsDirectory3: Chief Minister Yogi adityanath, thank you for speaking with us today.Your recent remarks⁤ at the World Hindu Economic Forum have created quite a stir, especially your strong defense of Allahabad High Court Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav.

Yogi Adityanath: It is imperative‍ to stand up for⁤ those who speak the truth, especially‍ when they are targeted for holding⁣ views that challenge the status quo.Justice Yadav’s call ⁤for a uniform Civil Code is a matter of national importance, and it⁤ is befitting that he raises this issue.

NewsDirectory3: Some argue that Justice Yadav’s comments were inappropriate and divisive. How do you respond to⁣ those criticisms?

Yogi Adityanath: Those who criticize Justice Yadav are attempting‍ to⁤ silence him. They fear a discussion on a Uniform Civil Code ⁤because it challenges ⁣their ‍outdated ideologies.Shouldn’t every‍ citizen, regardless of their faith,be subject to the same laws?

NewsDirectory3: Turning to the impeachment notice against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, why do you beleive the Opposition is pursuing this action?

Yogi Adityanath: The attempt to impeach Vice President dhankhar is nothing but a politically motivated attack on a man who has risen from humble beginnings to hold⁤ a high ⁣office. They are simply uncomfortable with his leadership and his commitment to upholding the Constitution.

NewsDirectory3: ‍ What message do you have for the Opposition regarding their approach to these matters?

Yogi Adityanath: I urge them to abandon their divisive tactics and engage in constructive dialog. Let us focus on issues that unite us as a nation, rather than those that ⁣seek to tear us apart. The people of India deserve better.
