North Korea fired shells from the East and West Seas.
After being quiet for more than two weeks, they launched an armed provocation again.
They violated the 9/19 military agreement by firing artillery into the naval buffer.

Yes, the Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea had fired shells in the East and West Seas this afternoon (5th).
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said they detected artillery fire from about 130 multiple rocket launchers in the East and West Seas in the area of Geumgang County, Gangwon Province, and Jangsan Cape, South Hwanghae Province.
Today (5th), the artillery fire was produced within the maritime buffer north of the NLL. The army explained that it was in violation of the 9/19 Military Agreement.
The South Korean military said it had issued several warning communications stating that “North Korea has violated the military agreement and must stop its provocations immediately.”
At the same time, we have strengthened our readiness posture by tracking related trends under close cooperation between the ROK and the United States.
This provocation by North Korea comes about two weeks after the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile and an ICBM on the 18th of last month.
After widely reporting the successful launch of an ICBM test, North Korea showed a focus on internal unity.
Before the plenary meeting at the end of this month, he also encouraged them to achieve results in all areas.
North Korea is believed to have staged an armed provocation by using South Korean military artillery training as a pretext.
Previously, the Army announced that it would hold artillery shooting training in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do from today (5th) to the 9th.
