Heavy snowfall warning for Chungnam metropolitan area and west coast… Ice on the road to ’emergency’ work

Amid heavy snow warnings in the metropolitan area and west coast of Chungnam, a lot of snow is falling and piling up.
The snow freezes in sub-zero weather, so you need to be careful on the ice on the way to work.

Snow clouds that developed in the West Sea are pushing inland.
In Incheon and the west coast of Gyeonggi Province, 1 to 2 cm of snow falls per hour.
Heavy snow warnings are issued for the western part of the metropolitan area and the west coast of Chungnam, including southwest and northwest Seoul, Gwangmyeong and Gwacheon in Gyeonggi Province, and Boryeong and Incheon in Chungcheongnam-do.
As of 5 am, the snow cover is 4.2cm in Taean, Chungcheongnam-do, 4.1cm in Incheon, and 1.2cm in Gangseo, Seoul.
As the cold weather eases, strong snow clouds develop as mild westerly winds rise over the Korean Peninsula, which has turned into a cold valley.
Snow clouds will rise as high as 3 km in the sky, and a lot of snow is expected in many places.
In the future, up to 20 cm of snow will fall in Ulleungdo, more than 10 cm in the west coast of Chungnam and Jeju, and 2 to 7 cm in Chungcheong, Honam, and Incheon.
Heavy snowfall of 1 to 5 cm is expected in the metropolitan area, such as Seoul and Gyeonggi.
This snow will start in the metropolitan area in the late afternoon and mostly stop at night, but it is expected to snow in Chungcheong and Yeongnam tomorrow morning and in Honam until tomorrow afternoon.
After the snow stops, the strong cold comes again.
Cold air will start to descend tomorrow morning, and the temperature will be much lower than usual around this time of the year, like minus 9 degrees in Seoul and -15 degrees in Cheorwon.
The cold is expected to continue through the weekend and gradually ease from Sunday.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said that the snow that fell in the cold would freeze and there would be a lot of ice along the road, and asked to be careful of sliding accidents.
