De-cluttering public transport… Provides a subway congestion map in Seoul

As the obligation to wear masks on public transport is lifted from tomorrow (20th), the Seoul Metropolitan Government is providing real-time information on the level of passenger congestion in public transport.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it can check the level of bus and subway passenger congestion in real time by dividing them into stages.

Buses have 3 levels of leisure, normal, and congestion, and subways have 4 levels of congestion by adding ‘Warning’ to the 3rd level.

An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Government explained that they would strengthen quarantine measures, saying, “We strongly recommend wearing a mask when using public transportation during peak hours, such as commuting.”
