Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung visited a private hospital that decided to use the beds to treat COVID-19 patients.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the hospital for taking over the public role, and promised to ensure that sufficient compensation is provided until I return to a general hospital after the COVID-19 outbreak.

<이재명 / 더불어민주당 대선 후보> “It’s important to make sure that there is no actual loss. It seems to keep hesitating. I think there is a fear that it might be neglected in the future.”

Candidate Lee, who returned to the company after a visit to the hospital, announced the promise of ‘expansion of public health care’, saying that he would usher in an era of all-people attending physicians.

He promised to secure at least one public hospital for each mid-career area in 70 places across the country through new construction of the National University Hospital and the acquisition of private hospitals, and to sufficiently increase the number of essential medical personnel.

<이재명 / 더불어민주당 대선 후보> “When people are sick, they need to be treated. The Lee Jae-myung government will guarantee the right to receive medical care whenever, wherever, and without discrimination.”

Candidate Lee said that with regard to compensation for small businesses, more complete support should be provided by organizing an additional budget well over 25 trillion won.

<이재명 / 더불어민주당 대선 후보> “(I) said we should invest 25 trillion won, but fortunately, candidate Yoon Seok-yeol said 50 trillion won, and then Kim Jong-in, general election chairman, said 100 trillion won. I’d like to prepare.”

On the other hand, the Democratic Party’s electoral committee announced that it would be conducting a campaign to receive proposals for the so-called ‘so-haenghaeng’ promise through a smartphone app.
