Prosecutors arrest ‘Lee Jae-myung’s assistant’ Kim Yong… “Not Guilty” Rebuttal

Prosecutors arrested Kim Yong, deputy director of the Institute for Democracy, considered the closest aide to Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on charges of receiving kickbacks in connection with the development of Daejang-dong and Wirye new towns, and who seized and searched his home.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office announced on the morning of the 19th that it had executed an arrest warrant for Kim on charges of violating the Political Fund Act.

It is known that prosecutors received an arrest warrant from the court after securing a statement that they paid Kim hundreds of millions of money earned during the investigation of the former head of the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, Yoo Dong-gyu.

Regarding this, Vice Chairman Kim’s side said, “We are creating a crime without the prosecution,” and “I will do everything in my power to correct it.”
