Trump Pardons NBA YoungBoy, Clearing Path for Tour

Former President Donald Trump has granted a full pardon to rapper NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is kentrell DeSean Gaulden. The move eliminates restrictions stemming from a prior weapons conviction.
Gaulden had been serving a 23-month sentence for felony gun possession and was also given 60 months of probation. He was released from federal custody in March and placed under home confinement.
Andrew Lieber, NBA YoungBoy’s tour agent, told The New York Times that the rapper is now “a fully free man, with no travel restrictions,” adding, “The world is at his fingertips.”
The rapper, also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again, is scheduled to embark on a U.S. tour spanning September and October.
“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building—as a man,as a father,and as an artist,” YoungBoy Never Broke again said in a statement.
