Ukraine’s president has called for a stronger international response ‌too Russia, ​emphasizing ‍the ⁣need for coercion to ⁢achieve peace. The president stated:

It is indeed impossible to ignore hundreds of ‘mined’ every night. We⁢ expect a reaction, a serious reaction. We work to a reaction. ⁢A‌ strong reaction is very necessary – primarily America, Europe, all in the world who made a bet on diplomacy. ​Russia must be forced to peace. And ​only coercion will work.

The president also noted that⁤ a ‍U.S. offer of an unconditional ceasefire has‍ remained unanswered by russia for an extended period. He believes that increased pressure on​ the Russian federation,particularly through sanctions,could have already ​led to a⁤ ceasefire.

“This says a lot. There could already be a⁤ ceasefire⁢ if there was real pressure on ‌Russia,”⁣ the president said. “I want to thank those of the partners ‍who understand ⁤this and who promote ⁣the necessary decisions. In particular,‌ these are new ‍sanctions ‌decisions.”
