Zimbabwe’s squad for the Twenty20 World Cup announced, captain Irwin back

Harare: The Zimbabwe squad for the Twenty20 World Cup 2022 has been announced. Captain Craig Irwin is back in the 15-man squad. Irvin will be back with the team soon after recovering from his injury.

Irvin was sidelined by a muscle strain. Along with the star, Tendai Chatara, Wellington Masakadza and Milton Shumba, who has recovered from injury, have also been given a place in the team. The pace bowler Bendith Musarabani is also back in the team.

Experienced Regis Chakabwa, Sikander Raza, Sean Williams, Bradley Evans, Tony Munyonga and Clive Madande are also in the squad. Tadiwanashe Marumani, Innocent Kathi, Kevin Kazusa, Victor Nyauchi and Tanaka Shivanga are the reserve players.

Zimbabwe’s first match in the Twenty20 World Cup is on October 17. Zimbabwe has to play qualifiers.
