At least eight people died and hundreds were injured in a massive crushing accident at a concert in Houston, USA, hosted by world-famous hip-hop star Travis Scott.
The fire department said that the crushing accident occurred just after 9 pm local time on the 5th at the ‘Astro World Music Festival’ event held in Houston, Texas with 50,000 spectators in attendance.
Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said injuries began as crowds of excited crowds rushed to the front of the stage at once, and panic spread as audiences lost consciousness.
Fire chief Peña told CNN that at least eight of the 23 people who were taken to the hospital were killed, including a 10-year-old child.
It was counted that 300 people received treatment at the clinic prepared by the organizer of the event.
This Astro World concert was scheduled to be held for two days on Friday and Saturday, and all events were canceled immediately after the accident.
Travis Scott is a 29-year-old Houston-born hip-hop singer who has been nominated for eight Grammys and released two new songs before the event.
