[국제]”China, 2 million deaths if zero corona is destroyed”… WHO needs imported vaccines

[앵커]

Concerns have come to light one after the other that millions of people could die if China scrapped ‘Zero Corona’ completely.

The World Health Organization, WHO, actively recommends imported vaccines as a response to China’s corona.

After the so-called ’empty protest’ took place in China, quarantine measures are eased one after another.

Beijing, the capital, and Tianjin, the major city, will abolish the obligation to provide negative PCR test results for public transport.

Tianjin has already been in power since the 2nd, and Beijing and Shenzhen have also decided to remove it.

However, concerns have emerged one after another that millions of people could die if China scraps ‘Zero Corona’.

Zhou Jiatong, director of the Disease Control Center of the Guangsha Zhuang Autonomous Region in China, warned that the death toll could rise to 2 million if quarantine measures were immediately eased as in Hong Kong.

A joint analysis by US and Chinese researchers published in ‘Nature Medicine’ also found that the number of deaths could rise to 1.5 million, and a British information analysis firm made a similar forecast.

In this regard, the World Health Organization (WHO) pointed out that China should use imported vaccines to prepare for quarantine mitigation measures.

He emphasized that imported vaccines could be a viable solution, saying that China’s self-developed vaccines have proven to be relatively less effective.

The World Health Organization has also found that more than 90% of the world’s population has some immunity to Corona 19.

However, he warned that we should not let our guard down, saying that lethal mutations could appear and happen again due to quarantine systems and poor health in underdeveloped countries.
