Daegu and Gyeongbuk Weather Check for the Second Week of September

The third solar term of autumn, ‘Baekro’, has passed, but summer is still lingering. Last Sunday, a heat wave warning was issued again, mainly in Daegu and the inland areas of Gyeongbuk.

The average low temperature in our region during the second week of September was 18.9 degrees Celsius, and the average high temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius. This week, the daytime heat will continue to be severe, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

The humidity will be high, making it feel very hot, around 33 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, showers are expected on Wednesday, with expected rainfall of 5~60mm in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

The morning temperature in the second week of September is expected to be between 21 and 25 degrees, and the daytime temperature is expected to be between 28 and 34 degrees. Both morning and daytime temperatures will be above average through the beginning of the week.

Tropical nights may occur in some places on Thursday. However, temperatures are expected to gradually drop later in the week.

Health Precautions

As the risk of heat-related illness is very high, please consume plenty of water and salt. Refrain from outdoor activities, be careful of food poisoning, and check the health status of infants, young children, the elderly, and those with chronic diseases regularly.
