[이코노믹리뷰=박정훈 기자] Samsung Electronics (005930) executives donate 10% of special bonuses based on business performance this year. This is a measure for ESG management.

On the 22nd, Samsung announced the size of special bonuses for Samsung Electronics and 20 major affiliates.

In the case of Samsung Electronics, 200% of the basic salary is applied to employees in all business divisions including DS and DX. In addition, the TAI (Target Achievement Award), which is paid through the evaluation of business performance for this year for each business division, is paid separately from the special bonus.

In the case of TAI, most of the business divisions are expected to receive 100% of the basic salary, while the TAI for DX’s household appliance business is reported to have been set at 75% of the basic salary, reflecting the decrease in revenue due to the effect of the increase in raw material prices this year. .

Samsung Electronics’ special bonus and TAI will be paid out to executives and employees on the 24th.

Meanwhile, this year, Samsung Electronics executives donate a portion of the special bonus for the social contribution of ESG that Samsung is promoting company-wide. It is explained that 10% of the 200% of the special bonus received by executives will be donated to support various social contribution activities promoted by Samsung Electronics.

It is a part of ESG management pursued by Samsung Electronics. Executives are determined to come forward and donate 10% of the special bonus to pursue an ESG virtuous cycle ecosystem.
