President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol sets out to erase the colors of the Moon Jae-in government. From the beginning of the process of forming the Presidential Transition Committee, Yoon-elect decided not to use the women’s quota system or arrange regional arrangements. This is contrary to the personnel principle of the Moon Jae-in administration, which tried to fill more than 30% of the cabinet with women to realize gender equality.

According to Yoon-elect’s side on the 13th, President-elect Yoon decided not to give a specific person a chance, but decided to make a personnel-oriented greeting. This means that he is a ‘capabilityist’ person who puts individual expertise and skills first.

Even during his time as a prosecutor, when he was a prosecutor, he did not look at the starting position or the rank of the training institute, but only the investigation experience, performance, and surrounding reputation as the criteria for judging the team members. As a result, he was frequently hired by his aides, and he was criticized for not creating the so-called ‘Yun Seok-Yeol Division’.

President-elect Kim Eun-hye, spokeswoman for the election, emphasized, “The goal of President-elect Yoon is to compete proudly on transparent and objective rules, and to reward them appropriately if they have skills and abilities.”

President-elect Yoon was also known to be negative about the ‘event-style greeting’.

In fact, President-elect Yoon mentioned the case in which Lieutenant Colonel Pi Woo-jin was appointed at the beginning of the Moon Jae-in administration and said, “I don’t greet people like that.”

In May 2017, President Moon appointed retired Lieutenant Colonel Pi Woo-jin, a woman for the first time, to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Affairs. Lieutenant Colonel Piu-jin was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1979 and served as a commander of a special forces company, after which she volunteered in the Army Aviation Department, where she became a female helicopter pilot in 1981. She is also a politician who ran as the proportional representative of the Progressive New Party in the last 18th general election as a 14th rotorcraft at the Army Aviation School. At that time, the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Affairs Pi Woo-jin was also embroiled in controversies regarding the selection of the father of former independent lawmaker Son Hye-won as a person of merit for independence and Kim Won-bong’s award of a tribute to a person of merit for independence.

In the same vein, in relation to the promise to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, which was made as a key pledge during the presidential election on the same day, President-elect Yoon said, “The (Leisure Ministry) has not fulfilled its historical mission.” This is another indication of the will to push ahead with the pledge to abolish the Ministry of Leisure and Leisure.

President-elect Yoon said this at a press conference held at the People’s Strength Central Party in Yeouido, Seoul around 2 pm on the same day, announcing the formation of the transition committee and the first appointment of the transition committee including Ahn Cheol-soo, president of the transition committee.

After the announcement, he met with a reporter and said, “I have established a principle.” “The problem of crime or injustice experienced by women or men in specific situations can be solved in a way that the collective division of women and men and equal treatment for the group are used. I think it’s hard to do now,” he said.

He continued, “In the past, collective gender discrimination was severe, so I created (Leisure Department) during the Kim Dae-jung era and played a role in many laws and regulations. Have you not fulfilled the historical vocation of the Buddha now?” he said.

In addition, he said, “I think that it is necessary to devise a more effective government organization for such injustice, human rights violations, and rights remedies.”
