The High Commissioner’s Office of Crime Investigation has booked Yoon Seok-yeol, a presidential candidate for the People’s Power, on charges of abuse of power in connection with the so-called ‘judge inspection’ documents.
With this additional charge, the number of cases related to Candidate Yoon directly investigated by the Ministry of Airborne Affairs has increased to four, including the allegation of the accuser.

The High Commissioner’s Crime Investigation Office has booked Yoon Seok-yeol, a presidential candidate for the People’s Power, as a suspect and decided to investigate directly in relation to the accusation of ‘Judges Inspection Documents’.
The charges applied are obstruction of the exercise of the right to abuse of power.
Last June, a civic group accused Candidate Yoon and then Deputy Chief Prosecutor Cho Nam-gwan of six people, including Candidate Yoon and then Deputy Prosecutor Cho Nam-gwan, alleging the illegality of the judge’s inspection documents.
The so-called ‘judge inspection’ allegation is that, in February last year, during the time of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, the Office of the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office for Investigation and Information Policy prepared and distributed a document analyzing the origins, tendencies, major judgments, and opinions of the judges in major cases.
It is also the main reason for the two-month suspension of Candidate Yoon, led by then Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae, in December of last year.
Candidate Yoon, dissatisfied with the disciplinary action, even filed a lawsuit to cancel the disciplinary action, but last month, the court of first instance concluded that the disciplinary action of the Ministry of Justice was appropriate.
At that time, the court criticized the illegality, saying that the document analyzed by the court contained illegally collected personal information, but Yoon ordered it to be delivered to the Anti-Corruption and Public Investigation Department of the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office without deleting or modifying it.
In this regard, the Ministry of Public Safety and Security also made it clear that the first instance court’s judgment that the disciplinary action against President Yoon was lawful directly served as the basis for the investigation.
However, in order not to affect the people’s power election held on the 5th, after the primary election was over, it said that the accuser was notified of the fact that candidate Yoon was being booked.
As candidate Yoon was additionally arrested, the number of cases related to candidate Yoon investigated by the Ministry of Airborne Affairs increased to four.

However, in the case related to Optimus, the investigation status has never been disclosed in detail after the arrest, and the case related to former Prime Minister Han Nam-gwan, the former deputy chief of the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office, has not made much progress since the investigation.
However, the possibility of the re-call of Prosecutor Son Jun-sung, who is a key figure in the allegation of the accused this week and who was also involved in the allegation of the judge’s inspection documents, is high.
In the midst of some critical gazes about whether only the rim is ringing even in a situation interlocked with the presidential clock, attention is focused on what conclusion the Airborne Service, which additionally booked candidate Yoon, will draw.
