The perpetrator of school violence is proud… The victim even moves and transfers

While the son of lawyer Jeong Soon-shin committed violence at school and went to Seoul National University, the victim’s life was difficult, and public opinion is growing.

In fact, it is a reality that many victims of school violence suffer from another school, such as avoiding the perpetrator and transferring schools.

Reporter Kim Da-hyun met with victims of school violence and their families.

Jeong Mo-gun, the son of the lawyer Jeong Sun-shin, who was appointed head of the National Investigation Headquarters, fell off the horse the next day.

He committed school violence against a classmate and was forced to transfer to Seoul National University.

While Jeong took time off with the lawsuit, the victim underwent psychiatric treatment and even made an extreme choice.

This is not the only case where perpetrators of school violence live as if nothing happened and victims suffer.

A, who has a daughter in the 3rd grade of elementary school, moved to the next town in a hurry to transfer school a month ago.

She stands to separate her daughter, who suffered violence at school last year, from the perpetrator.

Mr A’s daughter suffered from constant demands to ‘show her body’ by a boy in the same class last summer.

In the end, the girl who sent the picture was afraid to go to school with shame and even shock.

The School Anti-Violence Committee opened and issued a class separation measure to the student, but it was useless in a small school.

Mr. B, who has a son in middle school, worried as soon as the new school year started.

Last year my son was injured for 8 weeks, including a broken arm due to a ‘don’t ask’ attack from a classmate.

At least until the end of the year, it is said that absolute stability will not lead to disability, but the delinquent student still comes to school after 15 days of suspension from school.

For victims, schools are still an unsafe space where they can suffer violence.

As the system fails to properly protect victims of school violence, the reality is that eventually victims have to find a way to live on their own and run away.
