Argentina’s national football team, which has won the Qatar World Cup, arrived in the capital, Buenos Aires, to a warm welcome.
Gold medalist captain Lionel Messi was the first to get off the plane with the trophy.
Messi, coach Scaloni and the players of the national team went on a bus for a parade along the red carpet.
On their return home, the official cheering song of the Argentine national team, ‘Muchachos’, was played and the players shook their bodies with bright expressions.
The national team is due to march with the winning cup from midday to the city’s obelisk square.
The Argentine government has declared the day a public holiday to commemorate the first World Cup victory since Diego Maradona in 36 years.
