Candidate Jae-myung Lee, did you visit the quarantine site today?

[기자]

Yes, Candidate Jae-myung Lee visited a hospital dedicated to COVID-19 in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do a little while ago.

In a situation where securing a bed has become an urgent task due to the recent surge in corona patients,

He visited a private hospital to encourage the conversion of the entire hospital into a dedicated hospital for the COVID-19 base.

Candidate Lee met with medical staff and hospital officials here, listened to difficulties, and discussed ways to expand the bed.

Let’s hear from this candidate.

Candidate Lee will return to our company in the afternoon to announce the policy of expanding public health care in response to the coronavirus.

It is expected to emphasize large-scale input of financial resources to strengthen response to infectious diseases and resolve medical inequality among regions.

Prior to this, we will also participate in the national policy proposal event.

Candidate Lee has been consistently announcing the so-called ‘So-Hakhaeng’ promise through social media that gives small but certain happiness.

Today, I have a place to summarize and introduce the promises made so far.

In the future, we plan to release a new platform, ‘Lee Jae-myung Plus’, where the public can directly propose policy ideas.

Candidate Lee achieved the so-called ‘Golden Cross’, beating Yoon in a recent opinion poll on the approval rating, encouraging the Democratic Party’s election leader.

Candidate Seok-Yeol Yoon visited Danyang, North Chungcheong Province today, right?

[기자]

Yes, Candidate Seok-Yeol Yoon, who completed the TK tour of 2 days and 1 night, moved to Danyang, North Chungcheong Province last evening.

Candidate Yoon visited Guinsa Temple, the headquarters of the Cheontae sect of Korean Buddhism this morning, and participated in the liturgical meeting to get rid of dissatisfaction.

After the event, we had a Q&A session with reporters on current issues.

Candidate Yoon answered a question about how to resolve her relationship with former President Park Geun-hye, who had been granted a special pardon.

Let’s hear from Candidate Yoon.

In addition, he said that he does not view the conflict surrounding the recent reform of his predecessor, and that synergy can be created if each person is faithful to their respective roles.

After that, Candidate Yoon will come to Seoul immediately and attend the self-employed commemoration event held in the city in the late afternoon.

In the midst of this, the People’s Power General Election Commission Chairman Kim Jong-in and CEO Lee Jun-seok had a luncheon meeting today.

The People’s Power Election Commission has been criticized for failing to adequately respond to a series of controversies as it has experienced internal turmoil after President Lee expressed his resignation as election chairman.

Even in a recent opinion poll, the ‘red light’ has been turned on as Yoon’s approval rating has clearly shown a downward trend, but CEO Lee is demanding a renewal of his predecessor and repeatedly hinting that he has no intention of returning.

Accordingly, at today’s luncheon meeting, attention is focused on whether Chairman Kim will persuade Chairman Lee to return to the previous ranks to resolve conflicts within the party and provide an opportunity to reorganize the ranks.

Let’s take a look at the parliamentary situation.

The plenary session was held this morning. What bills were processed?

[기자]

The four National Assembly held the last plenary session this year and dealt with livelihood bills and political reform bills.

In particular, as the amendment to the Public Official Election Act, which lowers the age limit for election for members of the National Assembly and local governments, which is stipulated at 25, was passed to 18, the way was opened for high school students to run for the parliamentary by-election to be held in March next year.

In addition, the activity period of the special committee to improve the media system, scheduled for the end of this year, has been extended to May next year.

In the midst of this, the opposition party continued to criticize the controversy over the ‘communication inquiry of the Airborne Service’ that clashed at the Judiciary Committee yesterday at the general meeting of the House of Representatives prior to the Bonhui Eui.

Floor leader Kim Ki-hyun poured out harsh remarks, saying that Kim Jin-wook, director of the Airborne Division, should resign and go to prison.

On the other hand, the ruling party criticized it as ‘exploitation’, citing the communication inquiry record of Prosecutor Yoon Seok-yeol, saying that it became clear that the correspondence inquiry of the Airborne Service was not a temple but a party activity.

However, the public also expressed their intention to improve the system for the part where communication data was provided to the investigation agency without the public knowing it.

Until now, this is YTN Kim Tae-min in the National Assembly.
