[정치]Yun Seok-Yeol Meets British Ambassadors to South Korea and North Korea “Necessary for North Korea’s Nuclear Cooperation”

People’s Power Presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol met with British Ambassadors to South Korea and North Korea today and asked for cooperation in resolving the North Korean nuclear issue.

Candidate Yoon met with British Ambassador to Korea Simon Smith and British Ambassador to North Korea Colin James Crooks simultaneously at the office in Yeouido, Seoul on the morning of the 2nd.

At this meeting, Candidate Yoon said that Britain is a participating country in the security alliance ‘Ocus’ with the United States and Australia and the British-American intelligence alliance ‘Five Eyes’ and requires a lot of cooperation in sharing information assets and resolving the North Korean nuclear issue.

Ambassador Smith said that this year was a very important and special year for relations between the UK and South Korea, and he said that he has cooperated in many fields, including the G7, and hopes that this relationship will deepen each year.

The interview was attended by Rep. Park Jin and Cho Tae-yong, members of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee, and Rep. Tae Young-ho, a former deputy minister at the North Korean embassy in the UK.
