The police launched an investigation after a wad of money worth about 100 million won was found in a used kimchi refrigerator that a Jeju citizen bought.

According to the Jeju Western Police Station on the 9th, Mr. A (in his 50s) reported to the police that he found a cash equivalent of 100 million won on the floor of a used kimchi refrigerator around 3:45 pm on the 6th.

When Mr. A first discovered it, it is said that the bundle of money was wrapped in plastic and wrapped with tape. There are 2,200 copies of the 50,000-won bill alone, which is a whopping 110 million won.

The police are currently backtracking the exact source of money against second-hand goods companies, freighters, and Mr. A. According to the current Lost and Found Act, if the owner does not appear for 6 months, the ownership of this bundle of money is transferred to Mr. A. If the owner is found, the owner must pay a reward of 5-20% to the learner. However, if it is found to be related to a crime, all will be returned to the national treasury.
