Some big tech companies, like Google and Meta, have decreased their hiring of recent graduates, according to SignalFire. Asher Bantock, head of research at SignalFire,⁤ told TechCrunch that AI is a significant ⁢factor.

The threat of automation extends beyond tech. McKinsey & Company estimates AI could displace 400 to 800 million workers⁣ by 2030. Though,⁤ some jobs remain relatively safe.
