Kovid confirmed 11,136 cases in the state. 60,414 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 1509, Thiruvananthapuram 1477, Kollam 1061, Kottayam 1044, Kozhikode 991, Thrissur 844, Pathanamthitta 649, Alappuzha 640, Kannur 599, Idukki 597, Malappuram 557, Palakkad 462, Wayanad 447 and Kasaragod 259. In the last 24 hours, 11 deaths have been confirmed to be due to Kovid. In addition, 58 deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 77 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 62,199.

There are currently 3,05,540 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,98,745 are under home / institutional quarantine and 6795 in hospitals. A total of 987 people were newly admitted to the hospital. Currently, out of 1,60,330 Kovid cases, only 4.1 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals. Today, 56 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 10,331 people were infected through contact. The contact source for 668 is not clear. Eighty-one health workers were affected. Of those diagnosed and treated, 32,004 recovered. Thiruvananthapuram 6972, Kollam 1279, Pathanamthitta 627, Alappuzha 1990, Kottayam 3700, Idukki 2162, Ernakulam 4577, Thrissur 2432, Palakkad 1554, Malappuram 1999, Kozhikode 2060, Wayanad 938, Kannur 1442 and Kasaragod 272 were cured. With this, 1,60,330 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 61,84,080 people have so far been freed from Kovid.
