17 Indians Trapped on Israeli Container Ship Seized by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz: Diplomatic Talks Underway

17 Indians are reported to be trapped in the Israeli container ship seized by Iran. The Iranian military seizes the ship in the Strait of Hormuz. India is holding talks with Iranian officials through diplomatic channels from Delhi to Tehran. The ship was said to be passing through Hormuz when Iranian military commandos carried out an airstrike.

A video of the raid has also surfaced showing Iranian commandos with helicopters surrounding the container ship. The incident followed Israel’s bombing of the Iranian embassy in Syria, which reportedly killed a commander.

India had earlier warned its citizens to avoid Israel-Iran travel. The accident happened after this. Iranian media claimed the ship was carrying a Portuguese flag and was linked to Israel – after Iranian commandos raided the ship and took it to Iranian territory.
