About 150 members of the Cargo Solidarity held a meeting by branch at Pyeongtaek Port in Gyeonggi Province around 3 pm on the same day and demanded the maintenance of the safe fare system, saying, “Cargo drivers responsible for domestic logistics and distribution are suffering from overwork without being guaranteed basic labor rights.”

Since the morning of the same day, they have blocked each front door and blocked the entry and exit of trucks, causing disruptions in logistics and transportation.

At Uiwang ICD, more than 200 union members are continuing the blockade struggle, blocking the road and delaying some vehicle operations.

The police are preparing for emergencies by deploying 5 companies in Uiwang and 3 companies in Pyeongtaek. There was no physical clash between the police and the cargo driver that day.

The Cargo Solidarity launched the first general strike for three days from the 25th to the 27th, insisting on the abolition of the safety fare sunset system, the expansion of all car types and all items with the safety fare, and a fare increase to win the right to live.
