‘Squid Game’ (Director Hwang Dong-hyuk) is a Netflix series that tells the story of those who participated in a mysterious survival game with a prize of 45.6 billion won, risking their lives to become the ultimate winner.

The 456 people who woke up in an unfamiliar space wearing clothes with their respective numbers on it, the prize money was a whopping 45.6 billion won. Those who participate in the game that cannot be stopped or rejected arbitrarily with the sweet suggestion ‘If you follow the rules of the game, you can safely leave this place with the promised prize money’, soon realize the price of the prize and fall into an abyss.
The overwhelming-scale games that risked the lives of 456 people and the fairy-tale visuals in contrast to the desperate struggles of the participants add to the anticipation of the intense suspense that the ‘Squid Game’ will provide.
‘Squid Game’ is directed by Hwang Dong-hyeok, who has been recognized for his diverse stories and deep theme awareness across genres such as ‘Namhansanseong’, ‘Suspicious Woman’ and ‘The Crucible’. Director Hwang combined the modern society driven by extreme competition with the play of childhood memories, and unfolded a new story with unrestrained imagination.
