China Celebrates 70th Anniversary of the National People’s Congress

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress held a grand ceremony in Beijing to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese National People’s Congress.

President Xi Jinping, also the Secretary General of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a significant speech at the event. He stressed the importance of strengthening confidence in China’s path, ideology, system, and culture. He also emphasized the need to develop people’s democracy throughout the process and to maintain, improve, and manage the national assembly system effectively.

Xi Jinping highlighted the achievements of the past 70 years, during which the CPC system has ensured the country’s adherence to the socialist path. He noted the system’s significant political advantages, including its dynamism, stability, and orderliness, as well as its ability to realize the rule of law in all aspects of the country’s work. He also emphasized the system’s role in ensuring long-term peace and stability, rapid economic development, and social stability.

The President emphasized that the National People’s Congress system is a good one, suited to the country’s national conditions and reality. It embodies the nature of a socialist country and can effectively unite the strength of all the people to promote Chinese-style modernization.
